Carmel and Monterey

O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.

Psalms 92: 5

A stroll through the town of Carmel where we stayed. We got a light dinner here at this bakery...

The trunk of the famous native Monterey Cypress. Some of these trees are over 300 years old...

Oops! I lost my sandals and then dropped my purse in the water. My cell phone is now no good. SIGH!

Hey Liz! Look at these!

Exploring Lovers Point!

I don't know what lovers are supposed to do when they get up here. Its pretty scarey!

MY ANCHOR HOLDS!

For years I have longed to go out to sea and see an Orca whales. The last day here we went on a whale watching trip from Fishermans Wharf. I prayed the night before and asked God to please us see the orca's. The big gray whales are more comonly seen and that was exciting too, but I have had a fascination with Orca whales. They are beautiful and very interesting.

GOD GAVE ME MY REQUEST!!!!
You can see them in these pictures. We had several sights of sometimes 7-8 whales at a time. We also saw a gray whale and a dolphin. AMAZING!
The most beautiful amazing wonderful thing I have ever seen (next to having a baby)to be out on the ocean in a boat for the first time in my life and to see ORCA'S!

Truly it was a dream come true!

Check out my pictures of the beautiful coastal trees and the lesson they taught me on my

I just saw this..I didn't know you two lovebirds took a trip to Carmel! Isn't it amazing to realize there is another world beneath the surface that we cannot even see or know. 70% of the earth is covered by water, yet we know more about the moon. Amazing. Seeing killer whales and dolphins and grey whales reminds us how small we are, and how we really don't know all that much!!!! Keeps you humble! These are such great pictures, S. Liz-oralia!!! Thanks 4 sharing!
