Meatloaf

Tonight I made meatloaf for dinner and it was so yummy. I think it was my best yet so I decided to put the recipe (if you can call it that) here. I do not have measurements. I just want to remember how I made it for next time-

  • Ground beef
  • cubed bread scraps
  • a lot of fresh chopped parsely
  • teaspoon of sea salt
  • teaspoon of pepper
  • large egg
  • teaspoon horseradish
  • about 1/2 cup ketchup
  • teaspoon liquid smoke
  • 1 tsp nutritional yeast
  • large onion finely chopped
  • heaping teaspoon garlic and herb seasoning
  • about 1/4 backstrap molasses
  • about 2 tablespoons worchestire sauce

Mix altogether; place in pan spread top with ketchup; lay slices of bacon on top. Bake 375 20 min then add bake potatoes to oven and increase temp to 425 and bake another hour.

Happy Valentines Day!

I, take thee, to be my wedded husband,
to have and to hold from this day forward,
for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer,
in sickness or in health, to love and to cherish,
forsaking all others, 'til death do us part,
according to God's holy ordinance;
Thereto I pledge my love.

Happy Valentines Day!

Dear Husband,
A day to celebrate our love,
to me-
It is more than candy & flowers
More than romantic dinners or holding hands...
To me-
It's a celebration of understanding;
of battles fought together...and won!
Of watching eachother grow up;
and helping one another when we've fallen-
It's believing in a love that will endure the test of time.

It's a celebration of laughter...
and tears
Joy...
and heartache
Health...
and sickness
Goodtimes...
and hardtimes
A celebration that through it all-
We've kept our vows...
and we still have eachother!

Love,
Liz

Hold on Tight, and Let it Go!

Is your marriage worth fighting for? In this world where the enemy of souls is tearing up the family unit in my eyes it's well worth the fight. But that fight can only be fought right with a humble heart, filled with the love of Jesus. Love isn't a feeling. Love is a fruit of the Spirit of God and it is verb... an action... a choice. The following is a song I have on a tape. I am not sure who the author is.

Well I know that I'm in trouble
When I think I know it all.
My pride always takes a bow,
Just before a fall.
Well your just as right as me
and I'm just as wrong as you;
We're in this love together
And we're bound to see it through.

So hold on tight, and let it go;
Our love is always strongest when we let our weakness show
We don't have to give in to the prideful winds that blow-
If we hold on tight, and let it go!

A careless word in anger, can wound anothers heart;
In self defense a wall is built
that keeps us worlds apart.
Well I'm as much to blame as you
And you're as innocent as me.
There's one locked door between us;
And FORGIVENESS is the KEY!

So Hold on tight, and let it go;
Our love is always strongest when we let our weakness show.
We don't have to give in to the prideful winds that blow-
If we hold on tight, and let it go!

Hold on tight to the love that LIVES inside us;
Don't hang on to feelings that divide us.
We don't have to give in to the prideful winds that blow;
If we hold on tight, and let it go!
