Another Ma Ma for the Puppies

Callie has a Nanny. Our German Shepherd-Ridgeback Mix. She has never had pups of her own yet she still took these right under wing and is helping Callie out.

If she gets up to go out, and Callie follows, she will turn around and go back to keep an eye on the pups. She is very vigilant.

And she is LACTATING!

Now that's what I call team-work!

Our First Time for Pups!

We had a bed set up for Callie in the garage, but she decided to whelp in the garden. I got a sunburn sitting with her.

The first baby born at 1:30-

The last one was born at 6:20PM

We have seven babies. I won the guesstimation...

unless she decides to have another one tonight!

3 chocolate and 4 black only one female and she is a chocolate.

What a most beautiful wonderful amazing day!

What an awesome God we serve!!!

The Art of Salad Making

I love a fresh salad for lunch. This is the one I had today.

It has a bed of organic baby Romain lettuce, mushrooms, carrots, zucchini, chicken, red radish, white cheddar cheese and pine nuts. I sprinkled it with garlic and herb seasoning and sqeezed some lemon on it and drizzled extra-virign olive oil over the top. It was very refreshing.

Meatloaf

Tonight I made meatloaf for dinner and it was so yummy. I think it was my best yet so I decided to put the recipe (if you can call it that) here. I do not have measurements. I just want to remember how I made it for next time-

• Ground beef
• cubed bread scraps
• a lot of fresh chopped parsely
• teaspoon of sea salt
• teaspoon of pepper
• large egg
• teaspoon horseradish
• about 1/2 cup ketchup
• teaspoon liquid smoke
• 1 tsp nutritional yeast
• large onion finely chopped
• heaping teaspoon garlic and herb seasoning
• about 1/4 backstrap molasses
• about 2 tablespoons worchestire sauce

Mix altogether; place in pan spread top with ketchup; lay slices of bacon on top. Bake 375 20 min then add bake potatoes to oven and increase temp to 425 and bake another hour.
