Happy Valentines Day!

I, take thee, to be my wedded husband,
to have and to hold from this day forward,
for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer,
in sickness or in health, to love and to cherish,
forsaking all others, 'til death do us part,
according to God's holy ordinance;
Thereto I pledge my love.

Happy Valentines Day!

Dear Husband,
A day to celebrate our love,
to me-
It is more than candy & flowers
More than romantic dinners or holding hands...
To me-
It's a celebration of understanding;
of battles fought together...and won!
Of watching eachother grow up;
and helping one another when we've fallen-
It's believing in a love that will endure the test of time.

It's a celebration of laughter...
and tears
Joy...
and heartache
Health...
and sickness
Goodtimes...
and hardtimes
A celebration that through it all-
We've kept our vows...
and we still have eachother!

Love,
Liz

Hold on Tight, and Let it Go!

Is your marriage worth fighting for? In this world where the enemy of souls is tearing up the family unit in my eyes it's well worth the fight. But that fight can only be fought right with a humble heart, filled with the love of Jesus. Love isn't a feeling. Love is a fruit of the Spirit of God and it is verb... an action... a choice. The following is a song I have on a tape. I am not sure who the author is.

Well I know that I'm in trouble
When I think I know it all.
My pride always takes a bow,
Just before a fall.
Well your just as right as me
and I'm just as wrong as you;
We're in this love together
And we're bound to see it through.

So hold on tight, and let it go;
Our love is always strongest when we let our weakness show
We don't have to give in to the prideful winds that blow-
If we hold on tight, and let it go!

A careless word in anger, can wound anothers heart;
In self defense a wall is built
that keeps us worlds apart.
Well I'm as much to blame as you
And you're as innocent as me.
There's one locked door between us;
And FORGIVENESS is the KEY!

So Hold on tight, and let it go;
Our love is always strongest when we let our weakness show.
We don't have to give in to the prideful winds that blow-
If we hold on tight, and let it go!

Hold on tight to the love that LIVES inside us;
Don't hang on to feelings that divide us.
We don't have to give in to the prideful winds that blow;
If we hold on tight, and let it go!

A Loving Roe

Oh loving Roe, how can it be
You've come to walk beside of me?
I turn to leave, she follows nigh;
A loving roe now by my side.

She frolicks in the pastures fair,
The sunlight glistens in her hair;
In merriment I laugh and play,
my loving roe has come to stay.

I pant for water, cool and clear,
My loving Roe, she draweth near;
I drinketh full, my thirst abates,
My loving Roe doth satiate.

My step is weary, my head drops low,
I gaze upon my loving Roe;
She lieth near me, still and sweet,
Till I can get back on my feet.

I lose my way, in fear I cry,
and look into her tender eye;
And there reflected back I see,
A man of strength and dignity.

My loving Roe, she follows near,
I sense danger, she perks her ears;
And keeps a watch upon my lead,
My loving Roe, she trusteth me.

She skips and splashes near the stream,
In sunlight fair, her hair doth gleam;
I jump and sport with bucks for show,
They wonder at my loving Roe.

My heart is light, I stand up tall,
Strong and Brave, she hears my call;
With gentle steps she draweth nigh,
My loving Roe doth satisfy.

My gentle fawn, so fair and dear,
Her love is constant year by year;
How did you come to love me so
And be a faithful, loving Roe?

Miss Frumpy Dumpy

Miss Frumpy Dumpy sat on a couch
Miss Frumpy Dumpy became a great grouch
All of her make-up, hairdo's and frills
Couldn't set Frumpy free from her ill's.

One day Miss Frumpy read the good book,
read about Jesus and the beating he took;
Read of the cross and his victry o're sin,
read how his blood makes us over agian.

So Miss Frumpy Dumpy went to God's Beauty School
No more to be Frumpy Dumpy the fool.
He cleaned up her heart, and taught her new ways
To get off the couch and make useful her days.

To keep a clean house, and wear a kind smile;
To thank God each day, and to not let things pile.
To train up her children in the way they should go,
and to keep her garments always white as the snow.

To love her dear husband with honor and praise,
and to be a good help-meet all of his days.
To always abound in the work of the Lord,
for this she was promised a lasting reward.

Miss Pretty Princess is now her new name,
For now in her heart King Jesus does reign.
She no longer has make-up, jewelry, or sin,
For Jesus has given her beauty within!
